Bent Axles Car Show And Cruise 2009
I went up the coast to Santa Maria for Bent Axles show and cruise, third weekend in July. Always the best show in Ca. and this was the best one yet. Carole had to stay home to watch Smokie and give him is Insulin shots. Not as much fun without Carole along.

NSRA Western Nationals Bakersfield 2009
The annual NSRA Western Nationals at Bakersfield brought out about 2000 rods this year. These are pre 1949 cars but next year they will allow 1979 and earlier. Terrible idea, I go to see old cars rodded not newer cars rodded. Not many Graham Hollywoods around, this year there were 3. This one is from Wash. and is very nice except for the addition of a sun roof and odd headlights. For more photos of the Western Nats. go to Hot Rod Hot Line for the rest of my photos. www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/2009show/09nsrabakersfieldsam

Hot Rod Reunion Famoso Raceway
Adam Caldwell and I headed up to Famoso Raceway near Bakersfield for the Hot Rod Reunion. HRR is nostalgia racing at its best, front engine dragsters, altereds and gassers all like we used to watch when we were younger. For more pictures got to Hot Rod Hotline at this link: www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/2008show/08chrrsam

Good Guys Pleasanton Car Show
Pleasanton GoodGuys rolled around and we headed up Thurs. with a few other street rodding folks. There we met other of our friends who came earlier. Pleasanton is probably the best show in Ca. for size (about 3000 cars) and setting. The fair grounds are really nice compared to other shows. Our friends from Australia made the trip up also, they loved it. Will be back next year as always. Check out my other pics at www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/2008show/08pleasantonsam/ Also went to Blackhawk Museum too check pics at www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/2008show/08blackhawkmuseum

Weekend Of Wheels In Laughlin
We headed to Laughlin, Nv. for a car show and some gambling, just us. First time show so only 425 cars spread out over several casinos made it seem small. It should be better next year.. Spent more on ga$ then anything else, it was a fun time though......Check http://www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/2008show/08laughlinsam
